ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Board Approves Flat Tuition for 2017-18 Academic Year

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Board Approves Flat Tuition for 2017-18 Academic Year

At this week’s meeting of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Board of Trustees, the Board approved a historic action to hold tuition flat for the upcoming 2017-18 academic year. Read the announcement from President Hogle.

At today's quarterly meeting of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Board of Trustees, the Board approved a truly historic action to hold tuition flat for the upcoming 2017/18 academic year. For the first time in more than 50 years, returning students will not see a year on year increase in tuition.

The goal of freezing tuition has long been an institutional aspiration that we planned to achieve through progressively smaller tuition increases over the course of several years. In today's bold step forward, we have achieved a flat tuition rate earlier than planned in time to impact our incoming class and support the financial planning for returning students.

Our focus on remaining financially competitive with other top-tier conservatories has been a key budget priority and a frequent topic in our futuring conversations with faculty, staff, students and trustees. The Board's action today provides an important foundation to improve our position in the marketplace and enhances the Institute's ability to retain and attract the most talented classical music students in the world.

As we continue "futuring" those enhancements that strengthen the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ student experience, I am grateful to the Board of Trustees for their visionary work on behalf of generations of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students.

Regards,

Paul W. Hogle
